NVS along with NVSU holds the ARC celebrating NVSU clients and their
success stories--plus meeting and celebrating "their" employers, the
companies who make it all possible.
The 2007 ARC was held Sunday, August 29,
2007 at Edgewood Garden, Edgewood, WA. Our thanks to our wonderful
hosts Ilga Jansons and Michael Dryfoos. Client honored: Karl
Kindsvater. Also honored: Jackie Houston, a former NVSU staff
member and client, who honored her teachers/mentors at NVSU by
landing a great job before her untimely death. Her daughter, Tina
Simmons, accepted the framed print of her mother.
Bryant Milliman read "Taliesen",
the lovely prose poem he wrote remembering Jackie.
Music was lively and enjoyed, performed by
Stephanie Best and Pat Palmer.
Many thanks to all the participants making
the day so festive: volunteers, hosts, clients, honorees,
employers, the donors for the raffle prizes, and the musicians!
