Cheers for Careers 2022

Event Recap

In 2022 we felt supported once again.  With the transition into “back to normal” it has been a challenging year for all of us.  It was NVS’ first in-person Cheers for Careers since the pandemic and we weren’t sure what to expect. We are so grateful for the support we received from our community. We had a great time celebrating our annual awards ceremony at the clubhouse in the Jefferson Park Golf Course!  The event featured live music by Victor Janusz and friends, his first time performing for us in-person!  Larry Snyder returned to emcee the event, making the event so much more fun and interactive with his NVS Trivia Wine Sequence!

We truly appreciate our community partners dedication into helping people with disabilities achieve their vocational goals.  Our goals could not be accomplished without these great supporting partners!

  • Employer of the Year – City of Seattle – Dave Wright of Human Resources representing the City of Seattle
  • Counselor of the Year – Linda Pomeroy, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, SeaTac Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Community Non-Profit of the Year – Brain Injury Alliance of Washington, Scott Slater CEO

We want to thank our incredible board members, Gretchen Benson, Camie Herkomer and Aliza Hauser and the Marketing Committee for planning a creative and memorable event!  The attendance and wine support of the board is again greatly appreciated as is all you do  Finally, we sincerely appreciate all our attending supporters/ donors who truly make NVS viable.  Simply great having fun together
